About Me
Hello there! I’m a passionate and versatile english and german speaking lighting camera operator and digital nerd. My love for visual storytelling has taken me to all corners of the world: from Europe to Africa, Asia to the Middle East, and from North to South America.
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work on some fantastic projects, including:
- CBS’s The Challenge series
- Discovery Channel’s Gold Rush and Parker’s Trail
- I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Australia
- Survivor South Africa
- The Amazing Race
- Docu-Drama series No Man Left Behind for National Geographic
- Animals with Camera’s for BBC ONE.
Working with clients such as Netflix, BBC, Nat Geo, Discovery, Animal Planet, and Smithsonian Earth has been an absolute joy.
My passion for wildlife filmmaking began during my time as a ranger in one of South Africa’s most prestigious nature reserves. I spent almost two years living in the African bush, filming and editing documentary series and long-formats that have been shown on major channels such as Animal Planet, ABC Australia, and National Geographic. One of my proudest achievements was filming and editing the first wildlife shorts ever produced in Qatar. I also played a key role in building the largest independent film production company in the Gulf, which was an incredible experience. As the Head of Technical Operations, I gained invaluable experience as a certified high-speed Phantom Technician and Cineflex Aerial, GSS and Shotover Operator.
Today, I’m in a partnership for the only Vision Research certified high-speed Phantom Flex 4k rental company in South Africa called Highspeedworx, which is providing high-speed cinematography services to the commercial and feature film industry.
What drives me is my relentless curiosity and my passion for adventure. I’m always looking to expand my horizons, and I love nothing more than creatively relating visual stories using the latest camera technology.
